Strange Matter
http://www.strangematterexhibit.com

The Ontario Science Center in Canada has a clever exhibit filled with animation and activities about materials science and how we use it in everyday life. Middle school students can see how sand is transformed into the parts of a cell phone, bake ice cream in the oven, and choose a material that can save 44 million newspapers a week from landfills. There's also a teacher's section with a downloadable PDF guide to the exhibit and the site's activities.
