The teachers will return for a fall Saturday morning to report on using their projects in the classroom.

Adaptation: First we did a session on evaluating web resources as they related to secondary science. We set hyperlinks so each teacher could go to the selected sites to view. Then we created a session on using technology to enhance their instructional strategies and resources. Then we did a session on using lcd projectors , power point , and creating hyperlinks in Word documents. Later in the workshop one of our teachers did a session on using blackboard.com to create online courses for her students. We had teachers from 8 of our 15 high schools for a total of 10 teachers in the training. The START materials were used as a planning tool for our workshop. The training workshop was enjoyed by our teachers.

Adaptation: As a part of the implementation of an e-Learning Program that is placing laptop computers in the hands of all fourth graders in three schools, teachers were introduced to the range of instructional technology resources that are available to them on the internet to help children construct their understanding of the world and to increase and supplement student learning. Information was also shared to help the teachers evaluate web resources as they increase their use of these reseources with their students.
